Profoundly influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement ideal that we should surround ourselves with beautiful handcrafted objects, Rose Standish Nichols embroidered items she used everyday, bringing color and ornamentation to her domestic spaces. She was also a collector, acquiring historic textiles that informed her work and enlivened her home. Join us for a focused look at highlights of the Nichols House Museum textile collection, featuring items created and collected by Rose Nichols.
